The  Library
of Palazzo Bondoni Pastorio

The library of Palazzo Bondoni Pastorio contains an ancient collection,
with manuscripts and printed texts, including two incunabula,
several dozen of sixteenth-century editions
and about three hundred volumes from the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries.
Particularly rich are the holdings concerning local history
(Alto Mantovano, Brescia, Verona),
Renaissance art and history.

Currently, the book collection of Palazzo Bondoni Pastorio is mainly kept on the second floor of the building, in a room also used as a reading room.
The Foundation has started an ambitious project to restore the stables, overlooking the palace garden, which will house new rooms dedicated to the Library, a reading room and guest lodge.

The Foundation provides for the purchase of selected volumes,
particularly in the fields of local history,
the history of art
and the Renaissance.
