Fondazione Palazzo Bondoni Pastorio

 

 

 

The Palazzo Bondoni Pastorio Foundation is located in Castiglione delle Stiviere (Mantua, Italy), in the historical center of the town, close to the cathedral. The palace has been named a “national monument” and preserves important architectural, artistic and archival information connected to the Pastorio family and to the many families related to it, as well as to the more general history of Castiglione delle Stiviere and the “Alto mantovano” (the territory around Castiglione). Thanks to some important personalities who were part in the history of the Bondoni and Pastorio families, the Foundation is also of national and international interest. The Foundation – a non-profit private institution – has been recognized by the Regione Lombardia (R.R.P.G. nr. 2366, March 5, 2009). The house museum inside the palace itself shows not only the history and way of life of the Pastorio family, but also illustrates the history of Castiglione delle Stiviere and the Alto mantovano.
